Given my mother's side of the family is from here, I will show you MY Rioja, one I'm sure you'll absolutely fall in love with! Whether you're coming from Bilbao, San Sebastian, Madrid or pretty much anywhere else, you'll get to experience La Rioja like very few people have a chance to. From visiting one (or more) of the top, private wineries and meeting the winemaker directly, to enjoying a delicious meal paired with fantastic wines at one of the region's best restaurants, a local's well kept secret, and learning about this part of Spain's history.
Although this is initially a dat trip, it can be customized to meet your needs and turned into a multi day tour with a chance to experience not only some of the best wineries and local eats as previously mentioned, but also the history and sights this amazing region has to offer.
